The aim of the Italian program is to create an environment whereby children can acquire language skills in a spontaneous and natural way by experiencing real communication through enjoyable activities. The children develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through interactive activities that foster an appreciation of Italian language and culture.

The program consists of:

  • Communicating in languages other than English: using simple greeting cards, songs, numbers and colours using these concepts in simple sentences and conversation.
  • Intercultural knowledge and language awareness: showing understanding of differences in how people say things and write things and identifying cultural icons such as types of food or famous buildings.

Italian Day – A great celebration of the Italian culture complete with food and some Italian singing!
